Food trucks have taken over Nashville! From gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches to Thai street food — we can’t seem to get enough! Today was Wanderland’s FEASTival held in the Germantown neighborhood. Basically, it turned out to be the largest gathering of food trucks to date, and the selection was yummy.

We met our sweet friend, Lindsey, at the Festival and went to town scouring the menu boards, figuring out how many of the food truck goodies we could fit in our bellies.

We started out at Riff’s Truck, which, as far as I could tell is best known for a variety of ‘Fine Street Food’. Lindsey ordered the Banh Mi, pictured above. My husband and I split the shrimp & grits — which was so delicious, I didn’t even have time to take a picture before it was devoured 🙂 Same story for Rollin’ & Smokin’s 3-bean chili.

We then moved onto DegThai Food Truck. The menu offered a ‘Create Your Own’ dish option but we chose to split the Kao Mun Gai with jasmine rice, which was listed as a “must try!”. And boy are we glad we did! It was one of the best Thai dishes I’ve had.

We wrapped up our feeding frenzy by sharing a cupcake from Dixie Belle’s Cupcake food truck. This is their ‘Night and Day’ cupcake (and cup of mint tea) — and I can tell you, it will not be my last! So yummy.
